Shortened Set of Rules and Regulations for Judging and Sparring
Tanto Randori
Duration of Tanto Randori Tournament.
A fight consists of 2 parts. Each fight lasts a minute and a half (except breaks). One wrestler is unarmed the other one is armed with a rubber knife.
After the first part of the fight wrestlers swap roles and an unarmed wrestler receives a rubber knife. It is allowed to shift a knife from one hand to another only during a break. If tsuki ari and a technique, which gets yuko, waza ari or ippon occur simultaneously, tsuki ari is at an advantage.
