- Since a child has passed 1st Children’s Dan Exam, the child gets a certificate where the adult grades are indicated. E.g. a child who has passed 1st Dan Exam will get a certificate, where it will be noted that he has not attained 1st Children’s Dan, but has attained 2nd Adult Kyu.

- Since a child has passed 2nd Children’s Dan Exam, the child gets a certificate where the adult grade is indicated. Thus it will be noted that he has not attained 2nd Children’s Dan, but has attained 1st Adult Kyu.
- After passing 2nd Children’s Dan Exam a child has to take 1st Adult Dan Exam (minimum age is 15 years old to be eligible for 1st Adult Dan Exam)
